Yesterday (Wednessday) WhatsApp went down for around 2 hours around the globe affecting millions of users across the globe.
The app which is widely used by many refused to start up for some users, leaving them stuck with a 'connection' message.
Two hours after the event, Facebook which is the owner of the app announced that the mobile chat app was backed up and running. Though they did not say what caused the problem.
